KIGELIA RUAHA LODGE

Kigelia Ruaha Lodge, named after the towering Kigelia Africana or sausage tree, offers an eco-friendly escape within Ruaha National Park. Situated 45 minutes from Msembe Airstrip and 25 minutes from Mwagusi Camp in the southeastern part of Southern Ruaha, this lodge seamlessly integrates with its natural surroundings.

Though its central area may appear modest, its design and character create a charming atmosphere. The communal space features a canvas and wooden structure, complete with sofas, coffee tables, a drinks cabinet, and, for dining, a large teak table with accompanying chairs. Meals are often enjoyed under the stars in the bush or along the riverbed, with evening drinks by the fire.

Kigelia Ruaha Lodge boasts six spacious rooms, each set along the Ifuguru riverbed amidst dense foliage, ensuring a high level of privacy. The tents, crafted in the traditional Meru style, offer expansive beds, a generous central area with ample storage, and bathrooms at one end with an al fresco hot bucket shower, an ensuite bathroom, and a flush toilet. The lodge provides excellent service and a variety of game-viewing activities, including game drives and walking safaris, allowing guests to experience the wonders of Ruaha National Park up close.
