Nestled on the shores of Lake Tanganyika within Gombe Stream National Park, Gombe Forest offers a secluded retreat with breathtaking views of the deep blue lake and striking orange-red sunsets over the distant Congo Mountains. The lodge is accessible via a one-hour speedboat ride or a two-hour journey by traditional wooden boat from Kigoma town. It features seven luxurious tents, including five double and two twin accommodations, all perched on elevated wooden decks. Each tent comes with en suite amenities, including a glass-enclosed shower, flush toilet, and both hot and cold running water. Inside, you’ll find comfortable beds with mosquito nets, bedside tables, a writing desk with a chair, and a covered front porch with safari chairs and a table, perfect for enjoying the serene lake views.
