The Ndutu Migration Safari is a remarkable wildlife experience that takes place in the Ndutu region of the Serengeti ecosystem, located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Every year, the Ndutu plains become the heart of the Great Migration as thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and other animals gather to give birth, creating one of the most spectacular natural events. Visitors to Ndutu can witness the dramatic predator-prey interactions as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas hunt the migrating herds.   • Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania at Kilimanjaro International Airport

    Land at Kilimanjaro International Airport today and our professional private driver guide will meet you, greet, transfer you to your first night accommodation in Arusha and it is this guide that will be with you for the rest duration of your journey. Today you will be transferred by a private car to Arusha city, the gateway to Tanzania’s top national parks. Check in to your hotel and enjoy time to relax after your flight. On this day, your guide will brief you on various aspect of your next day itinerary schedules plus several other optional things to do in Arusha including but not limited to taking a day tour to Dolly estate where you can experience horse riding, you can choose to do some canoeing at Lake Duluti, visit some local market” an open-air market”, where the locals come to buy everything from fruits and fresh vegetables to kitchenware and other stuffs. Take in the sights and sounds as you wander among the stalls, and learn from your guide how to determine the quality of the merchandise—and how to barter (trade) in Swahili ways. Other options include visiting shopping centers in town, visiting nearby museums in Arusha city, coffee estate tour, visiting nearby waterfalls and several other places will be made available for those who arrive early.

  • Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

    After an early breakfast, today you will meet your driver guide and travel by private 4x4 excellent condition safari vehicle to Tarangire National Park, enjoy a full day game driver in this national park with a vast wilderness area that is often overlooked by safari-goers. The park has so much to offer especially in dry season from June, witness large number of migratory animals along with large herds of elephants, the park is home to substantial populations of wildebeest, zebra, impala, giraffe, eland, and buffalo, as well as unusual species like the gerenuk and fringe-eared oryx. The primary landscape is dry, open woodland scattered with hundreds of Africa’s prehistoric “trees of life”—the baobab tree. Spend the day exploring the park in your private safari vehicle, observing wildlife and later in the afternoon stopping for a quick picnic lunch in a scenic spot. Continue on a game drive to explore more of what the park has in store for you and later in the evening settle into your camp or lodge for the evening leisure and rest. Optional things to do include but not limited to taking part in walking safaris and (Night) nocturnal game drives, which are often the experiences that will top up to your Tanzania safari experience with lot of unforgettable life memories.

  • Day 3: Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater – Ndutu Area

    After breakfast, depart with picnic lunch heading off on safari from your lodge in Karatu area to Ngorongoro conservation area, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which lions, zebras, flocks of flamingos, elephants, giraffes just to mention a few. Ngorongoro is often referred as the eighth natural wonder, it has been listed as a UNESCO site which is considered the most beautiful and unique place in Africa where man and wildlife stays together in one area, you will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here. After lunch, we will continue to explore the Ngorongoro crater floor and late in the evening will drive in the direction of the Ngorongoro (Ndutu area). Ndutu area is full of sweeping grasslands that covers the region which gradually fade into the Serengeti. Ndutu forms a part of the route for the annual migration of more than 2 million wildebeests and thousands of zebras, antelope, and gazelle, you will be able to see the fertile plains turn into calving grounds and nursery for the great migration. This season attracts hordes of predators prying on vulnerable young wildebeest. Crested with Ndutu lake and Lake Masek, these waterholes offer plenty of wildlife game during the dry season. The Ndutu is also the home ground for 6 species of big cats – leopard, lion, cheetah, caracal, serval, and wildcat. You will then head to your accommodation within Ndutu area, where a freshly prepared dinner awaits you. Ensure you get some good rest and recharge yourself for another eventful day on the coming day

  • Day 4: Full Day Ngorongoro Ndutu Area

    Today you have full day of game drive in the Ndutu area giving you chance to enjoy a day long game drive through the region, taking in the shores of both Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek as well as the surrounding land where you will witness tens of thousands of young wildebeest take their first steps. You will be able to encounter large heard of wildebeest and Zebras plus good number of hyenas, and other migratory predators including Cheetahs and lions. In the afternoon you will head back to the lodge for hot lunch and a bit of rest before departing for the evening game drive again in this spectacular region of the Ngorongoro conservation area.

  • Day 5: Ndutu Area – Central Serengeti (Seronera Area)

    In the morning After you have had your breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive on route to central Serengeti area. Today we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. The central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. You will have unlimited views of what Serengeti can offer to you; The Central Serengeti offers superb game viewing all year round due to its abundance of resident animals. Specifically, the Seronera River Valley in the Central Serengeti is a ‘must see’ on every safari regardless of the specific month of travel. Resident herbivores include impala, buffalo, hippo, warthog, topi, hartebeest, and giraffe while the resident carnivores include lions, leopard, and hyenas. After this eventful day you will enjoy a restful evening inside under the chandeliers or outside around the campfire under starlit skies for sunset cocktails and to share the beautiful day safari stories with other travelers before a peaceful night rest at your beautiful rooms or tents within the Serengeti national park.

  • Day 6: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

    In the morning after you have had scrumptious enough breakfast at the lodge, you will depart with picnic lunch for a full day game drive to the central Serengeti area A full day on safari gives you the best chance of unforgettable moments, spotting the big five or encountering a fascinating cast of lesser-known creatures. Start your day with an unforgettable sunrise game drive across the Serengeti, see the sun setting light to the savannah as predators such as leopards and lions hunt for their morning meal. Your game viewing drive is likely to be conducted along the Sogore River Circuit which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, the place is good for spotting possible Lions, Thomson gazelles, topi, ostriches, and cheetah sightings. Central Serengeti offers a visit to visitor centre close to the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and some public campsites, is well worth a visit after the morning’s game drive. This nicely designed centre offers some interesting wildlife displays as well as a gift shop selling information leaflets and maps of the area. The centre also has a shop where cold drinks and snacks can be purchased, as well as a picnic area and information trail up and around a nearby kopje. You will enjoy a relaxed picnic lunch at this centre in the shade of the giant acacia trees under beautiful umbrella like-designed huts. After enjoying your delicious lunch break you, we will proceed on an afternoon game drive trying to spot as many wildlife as possible within central Serengeti such as hippos, a number of beautiful birds, hyenas, Buffalos, possible snakes, and other reptiles and so much more. Balloon safari (Optional with extra charges) in Serengeti offers you an opportunity to be one of only a few fortunate people to glide in a Hot air balloon over the Serengeti Plains allowing you to floating silently above the awakening bushes while spotting abundant wildlife and enjoying the amazing scenery of Africa from the air. After this full day of excursions, you will wind up the day by a restful night at a beautiful lodge within the central Serengeti to enjoy the cool night in the heart of wild Africa.

  • Day 7: Departure

    Today you will have enough resting time at the lodge enjoying the beautiful scenes and the lodge amenities and delicious breakfast and lunch or choose to go on a final game viewing if time allows that, then you will be transferred to Seronera airstrip within Serengeti national park to catch your flight back to Kilimanjaro international airport, Arusha, or Zanzibar for your flight back home or to other destinations.
