Today in the morning our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Mto wa mbu or Arusha and you will drive out to Lake Natron. On route you see many Maasai villages, gazelles, giraffes, zebras, baboons, bee boxes, and birds such as vultures, ostriches, glossy starlings, Cory bustards, and kites. After we arrive at natron area, we will stop at a nice picnic site in the area where you will have your lunch, If you want with (extra charges) you will go on a guided walk around Lake Natron, the lowest point of the Great Rift Valley in Tanzania and famous for a vast numbers of flamingos and other water birds due to its high concentrate of sodium carbonate, algae, and zooplankton. You can go for a hike up the NgareSero River which flows into the Lake if time allows that before climbing the Oldoinyo Lengai Mountain an active volcano, this is a strenuous climb that usually departs at midnight and takes you to the ash cone for a magnificent view before descending back to the base of the mountain where you will get breakfast / brunch and transfer back to Mtowambu.
After a successful descend from the top of Oldoinyo Lengai Mountain, you will have your vehicle waiting for you and be transferred to a nice picnic site / Camp where you will enjoy your brunch and be transferred back to Mtowambu or Arusha.
