Arusha National Park

Arusha national park is comparatively small and a closest national park to Arusha town in the northern Tanzania the leading Tanzania’s safari capital. The park covers 552kilometres square approximately to 212miles which due to its size allows visitors to discover the rich diversity of habitats and wildlife in a day or half day. Despite its size the park has so many to offer ranging from montane forest inhabited by inquisitive blue monkeys and colorful turacos and trogons, acrobatic black and white colobus monkeys are easily sighted in Arusha national park; in the midst of the forest stands the spectacular Ngurdoto crater whose steep rocky cliffs endorses a wide marshy floor dotted with herds of Buffalos and warthogs. When to visit

The park is accessible throughout the year but best time to climb Mount Meru is between June and February when there is no rain. Note: There might be some rain in November but usually not heavy rains.
