This 7 Days Wildlife & Cultural Excursions offers the “ultimate Northern Tanzania safari” through Tanzania’s most popular Northern Parks, from experiencing Hadzabe local and cultural ways of life around lake Eyasi in Karatu area to game view at Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Serengeti national park and Tarangire national park, a park famous for having big herds of elephants, baobab trees and large number of animals around Tarangire river during dry season hunting for water. The highlight of this safari will be to experience both culture and animals.

Tour Itinerary
  • Day 1: Namanga Or Arusha To Tarangire National Park

    Early pick up at the Namanga boarder in Arusha and we will head off to Tarangire National Park, which is known for its huge baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Its sparse vegetation makes it a beautiful and special location, where up to 300 elephants can be found, looking for underground streams in the dry riverbeds at it best visiting time during the dry season between July to October. Migratory wildebeest, zebra and buffalo can also be seen crowding the shrinking lagoons. Here you will enjoy an afternoon game drive with a picnic lunch. After game drive in the late afternoon or in the evening, we head off to Karatu at Farm of dreams Safari lodge for an overnight stay.

  • Day2: Full Day Lake Eyasi Engaging With Bush Men Tribes’ Men In Karatu Area

    Today after breakfast in the morning around 0630hr we head off and meet the Hadzabe tribes where they will take you for a hunt and learn about hunting techniques also meet with the Datoga tribes’ men then enjoy a hot lunch at lake Eyasi Camp area relax a bit at the camp before enjoying an afternoon canoeing around lake Eyasi on a local boat with locals, enjoy the bird watching along the lake and learn the local fishing techniques of the local people in Tanzania on a local boat. Transfer back to Karatu for an overnight and evening enjoyments at the lodge before next day schedules.

  • Day 3: Karatu To Ngorongoro Crater – Transfer To Serengeti Park

    After breakfast we head off on safari from your lodge in Karatu area to Ngorongoro conservation area, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which lions, zebras, flocks of flamingos, elephants, giraffes just to mention a few. Ngorongoro is often referred as the eighth natural wonder, it has been listed as a UNESCO site which is considered the most beautiful and unique place in Africa where man and wildlife stays together in one area, we will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here. After game drive in the afternoon, we head off the Ngorongoro conservation area to central Serengeti for an overnight stay.

  • Day 4 & 5 Full Day In Serengeti National Park

    After breakfast, depart with picnic lunch for a full day game drive in the northern Serengeti Kogatende area following the great migration along the Mara River. The game drive will be along the Mara River and other interesting places in the north where the big groups of wildebeests will be at that particular time. After the full day of game drive, we will drive back to the camp for evening leisure and hot dinner.

  • Day 6: Serengeti National Park– Mto Wa Mbu Village Via Masai Boma In Ngorongoro Area

    After breakfast, depart with picnic lunch for a final game drive in Serengeti national park. After lunch, we will drive in the direction of the Ngorongoro Conservation area. As soon as you have reached the edge of the crater rim, the crater appears half a mile below, inviting you to gaze at this jaw dropping natural wonders. “Often called the eighth natural wonder of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. About 2 million years ago the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, and its walls collapsed. The volcano floor sank to create a natural enclosure with its 600m tall walls. Now, at over 19 kilometers wide, Ngorongoro Crater is filled with great areas of acacia forest, hippo filled swamps and open grasslands. These different habitats contain over 30,000 animals – including elephants, warthogs, flamingoes, magnificent birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros and all the predatory cats. The Maasai can also be seen grazing their cattle alongside the buffalo and wildebeest in the Ngorongoro area”. (Maasai visit here) Optional and afterwards, you will proceed to Mto wa mbu village for evening leisure and hot dinner at the lodge.

  • Day7: Full Day Walking Or Biking Excursion At Mto Wa Mbu Village

    The bustling farming community of Mto wa Mbu, located between Manyara and Ngorongoro, is home to more than 18,000 people. Spend full day here with a knowledgeable local guide and you’ll discover a side of Tanzania that many visitors miss. After breakfast at the campsite Local guides will pick you ready for a village walking tour, your guide is very likely to be from the village itself so you will have a unique opportunity to see the community through his eyes. Tours last around 3–4 hours, but are very flexible. During your visit you’ll get a good feel for the social side of the village, you’ll likely start your tour at the rice fields where you will get insights of how they grow them and you will be passed through different places and end at Local mama lunch places where you will have hot local lunch prepared there by them then you will be transferred back to airport in Kilimanjaro for your late evening flight back home.
