Starting from Moshi town you will be transferred to the starting point after you have chosen which route you will want to experience a day hike at, Kilimanjaro day trip will assist you to discover the hidden gems in this fascinating area of the Kilimanjaro Mountain. Route (2) Shira Route from Morrum Barrier - Shira Plateau
Route (2) Shira Route from Morrum Barrier - Shira Plateau
After and early breakfast at your hotel in Moshi we will transfer you from Moshi for atleast two hours from 07:00-09:00 am to Londorossi gate in West Kilimanjaro area. You will complete your registration at Londrossi gate before driving through 4x4 access road to the Morrum Barrier where you are going to start your hiking, this route is good for both participants with all levels of fitness (low fitness / medium or high fitness) through the upper heather / moorland and into the Alpine desert. You will hike for around 2- 4 hours to the Shira Plateau and is not an extremely steep ascent. You always have the option to hike longer and further if time and pace of participants is permitting so. After a picnic lunch you will descend through the same trail back to the Morrum barrier where your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Moshi town where we picked you from and that will mark the end of the trip with us for this day.
