  • Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve

    In the morning at 08:30, you will be picked up from your hotel or Ferry in Dar es Salaam and drive to Nyerere National Park (Selous game reserve). You will have picnic lunch on the way and the journey will take about 5 to 7hours through the most unexplored and untouched areas in Tanzania on Tarmac and rough roads. Arrive in the afternoon and embark on a boat safari where you’ll admire hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat. The boat safaris provide some of the best water birding in Africa as well as getting up close and personal to hippos and crocs which swim through the river system, enjoy watching elephants and buffalos wallowing in the water or basking on the banks, The boat safaris are conducted in sturdy metal boats with a powerful outboard motor on the back and some has a covered canopy. Each boat safari is guided by a boatman who has skills technics and knows all the little nooks and crannies where a boat can sneak through like the back of his hand. They are also well aware of hippo and crocodile behavior having spent so many years' safely guiding people through them.

  • Day 2: Full Day In Nyerere National Park (Selous Game Reserve)

    Depart after breakfast in your accommodation, followed by full-day game drives in Nyerere National Park a home to large population of elephant, big number of buffalo, and wild dog. Other species commonly seen are the lion, bushbuck, impala, giraffe, eland, baboon, zebra, kudus, and crocodile. Great variety of bird species. Wonderful scenery, with varied topography: wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest and higher ground with long views to far-off mountains. Today you will have a full day game drive with a packed lunch and time to rest. Your guide will select a location with shade normally a special public picnic site with water source nearby to allow you more game viewing while animals are coming for water – a place which is safe and with a clear view all round so that no predator can creep up unseen!

  • Day 3: Last Day Game Drive / Walking Safaris & Drive to Dar Es Salaam

    After breakfast, you will go for another game drive in case you miss something days before perhaps you could find today, then later you will drive back to Dar es Salaam. You do also have an option to do a walking safari today, walking safaris are a fantastic way to get close to nature and learn more about the smaller species and the bush itself. It's an unforgettable experience to walk within such a vast and untamed area of natural reserve. Although you may spot some giraffes or walk in the footsteps of elephants, our walking safaris are tailored to give you the opportunity to learn about the things you miss from a safari vehicle or on river boat - the ecosystem that the animals live in. Learn to identify animal tracks and signs and hear fascinating information about the insects, trees, and colorful birdlife. Walks are slow-paced, accompanied by both an armed park ranger and our expert guide and are this can take around 2-3 hours long. Leaving camp as early as possible after breakfast or a cup of tea or coffee and some homemade biscuits/ snarls. Our safari vehicle will drive you the short distance to a point where you will meet your walking crew and start the walk. Drive back to Dar es Salaam thereafter with picnic lunch where at some point on the way we will stop for lunch, expect to arrive in Dar in the late afternoon (Evening).
